Inside Scoop

Startup blog by an online fashion media company

Our blogging policies

Inside Scoop is written by the people who run The Wardrobe Channel and reflects what we’re doing, reading and thinking right now. It’s not written by a PR person or ghost-writer, so you won’t find spin and BS here.

That said, telling you all our secrets here would be like getting married on the first date. So we’re keeping a little mystery…

We do post about:

  1. What we’re working on right now, especially if it’ll launch really soon.
  2. Our thoughts on startups, the fashion industry and the future of media.
  3. Things we’ve found that you might like too: products, resources, ideas…
  4. Insider tips on how we do particular things.
  5. Things we tried that didn’t work out.
  6. The odd dilemma we could use your feedback on.
  7. An occasional product or feature announcement.
  8. Anything else we think you might like to know about.

But we absolutely don’t post:

  1. Release dates. This is a startup; we’re developing some things that haven’t really been done before and sometimes deadlines slip. We’d rather be vague than promise you something on a particular day, then deliver it two days later.
  2. Planned features. Upcoming features are secret ’til we’re implementing them, because we use customer feedback to continually re-adjust our priority list. That keeps our priority list in a constant state of flux, but also hopefully makes better products for you. Plus we don’t want to tip off our competitors about what we’re planning! ;)
  3. Trash talk. We do sometimes give honest feedback about things we’ve encountered, and it isn’t always glowingly positive. However, there’s a big difference between constructive criticism and trash talk. You’ll find the former here, not the latter.

If there’s anything else you’d like to see on this blog, leave a comment below and we’ll see what we can do.
